Marie T. (Barry) of Norwood passed away surrounded by the love, comfort, and care of her family on July 13, 2026, at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Needham.

She was the beloved wife of the late Daniel “Red” Barrett. Marie is survived by her proud and loving children: Diane Millin and her husband, Bob, of Virginia; Nancy Trask and her husband, John, of Norwood; Suzanne Galvin and her husband, Kenny, of Norwood; Joseph Barrett and his wife, Karen, of Norwood; son-in law Peter Kelly Jr. Marie was predeceased by her son, Daniel Barrett Jr. and her daughter, Joanne Kelly. She was the loving “Nana” to 17 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Marie also leaves her siblings, Paula Drake of Nashua, NH; Kevin Barry and his wife, Julie, of Quincy; and Thomas Barry and his wife, Jeanne, of Nashua, NH. Marie was also predeceased by her brothers, John (Jack) Barry and Fr. Garrett Barry.

Marie grew up in Norwood and graduated from Norwood High School with the Class of 1954. She married the love of her life, Red, in 1960. For more than 30 years, Marie worked as an accounting clerk for American Steel & Aluminum. She enjoyed reading and solving puzzles, but most of all, she treasured the time spent and memories made with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

A special thanks to the compassionate care and comfort Marie received at Bridges of EPOCH – Westwood and Beth Israel Deaconess Needham.

Visiting hours will be held on THURSDAY, July 16, 2026, from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home, 1248 Washington Street, Norwood, MA.

Following the visitation, a Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM in St. Catherine of Siena Parish, 547 Washington Street, Norwood.

Marie will be laid to rest alongside her beloved husband in Highland Cemetery, Norwood.
