Call for Artists: “Many Stories, One Norwood” Mural

The Norwood Cultural Council (NCC) invites artists (or teams of artists) to submit design concepts for “Many Stories, One Norwood” – a public mural celebrating the diverse past, present, and future of our town. We’re looking for creative designs that reflect the people, cultures, history, and shared experiences that make Norwood a vibrant community. Selected artwork will help tell the story of Norwood as a place where many voices, backgrounds, and generations come together as one. This is open primarily to Norwood artists, although Massachusetts-only based artists are welcome to apply.
• Dimensions: Approximately 20 x 10 feet. Your final work doesn’t need to be in these dimensions as long as it can easily be scaled appropriately during the digitization process.
• Surface: Vinyl on brick. Submissions can be submitted in any medium as artists will not be painting the surface; final selection will be digitized and printed on vinyl.
Interested artists should submit the following to norwoodculturalcouncil@gmail.com by Wednesday, April 22, 2026:
- Artist Statement & Bio: A brief description of your experience and artistic approach.
- Portfolio: 3-5 examples of past murals or large-scale work.
- Conceptual Design: A preliminary sketch or design concept.
