Jeanne, 98, of Norwood, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2026, surrounded by the family she loved so dearly.

Born in Weymouth, MA, she was the daughter of the late William and Florence Cross. Jeanne was predeceased by her beloved husband of 69 years, Robert “Buddy” Corcoran.

Jeanne worked for more than 25 years as an assistant manager at South Shore National Bank in Norwood and Dedham. In retirement, she enjoyed staying active, participating in programs at the local Senior Center, and spending time with dear friends. A lifelong Red Sox fan, Jeanne looked forward to spending each March in Fort Myers, where she rarely missed a spring training game. She also found joy in simple pleasures—playing cards, sharing a cup of tea, and catching up with the people she loved.

Family was at the heart of Jeanne’s life. Known for her bright, welcoming smile, she had a way of making everyone feel at home. She was happiest when surrounded by family, especially during visits with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, when she could listen to stories about dance competitions, baseball, hockey, and all the everyday moments that mattered to them.

She was the beloved mother of Patricia Farioli and her husband Edward, and Donna Gronroos and her husband Paul, all of Norwood.

Loving grandmother of Edward Farioli, Mark Farioli and his wife Shannon, Kristin Pinto and her husband Jason, Kevin Gronroos and his wife Marissa, and Kara Zecher and her husband Nick.

Devoted great-grandmother of Rocco, Giada, and Giovanni Farioli; Emma and Michaela Gronroos; and Danny and Sophia Pinto.

Jeanne was the eldest of six children. She was the sister of John Cross and his wife Peggy; the late William Cross and his late wife Patricia; the late Edwin Cross and his surviving wife Patricia; the late Rosemary Laugelle and her surviving husband Joseph; and the late Rita Bryant. She is also survived by her beloved sister-in-law, Susan Bamond, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the compassionate caregivers at Good Shepherd Community Hospice for their exceptional care and support provided to Jeanne over the past year, as well as to the family members who remained by her side providing hands-on love and presence.

Jeanne will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her greatest legacy will be the love she gave her family and the many cherished memories she leaves behind.

Visitation will be held on Thursdau, September 17, 2026, from 9:00 - 10:30 a.m. at the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home 1248 Washington St., Norwood.

Following the visitation, Jeanne's Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Parish, 547 Washington Street, Norwood.

She will be laid to rest in Highland Cemetery in Norwood.
