PEZWICK

Paul, 73 of Norwood, MA passed away on April 2, 2026.

Born in Norwood, Paul grew up with a deep love for the environment, a passion that stayed with him throughout his life. He was an Eagle Scout, a hippie, an environmental activist, a beekeeper, a plumber, and an outspoken critic of autocracy.

From an early age, Paul was active in protecting the environment. Protesting for big and small causes, locally and globally. Paul joined the Sea Shepherd with Paul Watson in the early 80’s and visited many continents, including Antarctica while protecting whales and seals from extinction.

After his adventures with the Sea Shepherd, Paul was the owner of Pezwick Plumbing until his stroke in 2008. Paul also enjoyed listening to public radio and keeping up with current topics, especially politics and climate change.

Paul was preceded in death by his father, John Pezwick and his brother, Billy.

He is survived by his mother, Nellie (Svelnis) Pezwick and his siblings Jean Hauck and her husband David, Marianne McCready and her husband Jerry Sumner, and Steve Pezwick and his partner Cathy Davis and his nieces Stephanie Hauck and Julianne McCready and his nephew, Christopher McCready.

Services will be held privately.
