MOORE

Harry E., age 92, a longtime resident of Norwood, passed away on the afternoon of Friday, September 11, 2026, at his home, surrounded by the love, comfort, and care of his family. He was the devoted husband of 68 years to Jo-Ann (Furlong) Moore of Norwood.

Born in Boston, Harry was the only child of the late Henry and Margaret (Betts) Moore. He was raised in Dorchester, where he spent his childhood and early years.

Harry was a proud veteran of the United States Army.

A hardworking man, Harry spent 42 years with Roche Bros. Supermarkets. Hired by Buddy Roche as a young man, Harry worked his way up through the company in a variety of positions. Beginning as a cutter in the meat department, he steadily climbed the ranks and ultimately served in management.

In his spare time, Harry enjoyed tinkering with projects around the house, cheering for the Bruins and watching sports, especially his grandchildren’s sporting events. He treasured time spent with family and, most of all, the life he shared with his beloved wife, Jo-Ann. Together, they built a life filled with family, love, and countless memories.

In addition to his wife, Harry is survived by his children: Lynn Gross of Bradford, NH; Bill Moore and his wife, Nancy, of Walpole; Bob Moore and his wife, Krissy, of Franklin; and Susan Slowe and her husband, Dan, of Boston. He was the loving grandfather of Donny, Michael, Casey, Jennifer, Billy, Andrew, Allison, Molly, and Kate. He is also survived by extended family members and many dear friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, from 9:00 - 10:30 a.m. in the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home, 1248 Washington Street, Norwood.

Harry's Funeral Service will take place at the conclusion of the visitation at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.

He will be laid to rest in Highland Cemetery, 320 Winter Street, Norwood.
