HOHMANN

Jean Marie (Welch), age 90, passed away peacefully on August 7th, 2026.

Jean was born in Norwood, Massachusetts in 1936, she was the daughter of the late John Welch and Mary (Belloni) Welch. A lifelong resident of Norwood, Jean attended Norwood schools graduating Norwood High School and Peabody Vocational School, collectively, in 1953.

Jean attended The Bryman Institute and became a medical administrative assistant employed at the Guild building for many years before retiring.

A life-long member of St Catherine of Siena Parish, Jean loved spending time with her family and friends. She also had an undeniable love for Irish music and culture.

She was predeceased by her husband Albert (Bert) J Hohmann Jr. Survived by her sons John Hohmann and his partner Deanna Dysert of South Carolina, Michael Hohmann and his wife Rosemary Aldous-Hohmann of Norwood, and her daughter Jean Marie McDonough and her husband Joseph McDonough of Norwood.

Also survived by eight grandchildren, Christopher, James, Keith, Sara, Lauren, Joseph, Shawna and Kristen as well as five great grandchildren.

Visitation and funeral services provided by Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home, 1248 Washington St., Norwood, MA. A Funeral Mass was held in St. Catherine of Siena Parish, 547 Washington Street, Norwood.

Jean will be laid to rest at Highland Cemetery in Norwood.
