Running For Selectmen

October 29, 2026
0

I am announcing my candidacy for the Norwood Board of Selectmen in 2027. Norwood has been a wonderful place to raise a family, and I want it to remain that way for generations to come. My hope is that someday my children will choose Norwood as the place to raise their own families. That means keeping our town affordable while protecting the services that make it such a great place to live. It means supporting our seniors, many of whom have spent their lives contributing to this community, by preserving the services they depend on and helping them afford to stay in Norwood. It also means keeping our public schools moving in the right direction and giving our children the opportunities they deserve. Maintaining that balance requires careful planning, sound financial decisions, and a willingness to listen. I recently retired after 41 years at Norwood Light, including my years as Superintendent. That experience taught me that excellent public services and responsible spending can go hand-in-hand. I also want to thank the many people who have served on our Select Board, especially the long-serving members who have given so much of their time to Norwood. Public service demands patience, commitment, and personal sacrifice, often with little recognition. Their selflessness deserves our gratitude. Most importantly, I want to hear from residents. What do you believe are the most important issues facing Norwood right now? Please share your thoughts with me at Kevin4Norwood@gmail.com. I hope this campaign will be a conversation about how we can keep Norwood a great town for young families, seniors, and everyone in between. I respectfully ask for your consideration and support.
