Thomas F., III of Walpole, and formerly of Norwood passed away at his home on Friday July 10, 2026. He was 73.

Born in Brighton, he was the son of the late Nora (Meekins) and Thomas F. MacDonald, Jr. Thomas was the brother of Barbara Saunders, Richard J. O'Donnell, Marilyn O'Donnell, Sharon N. Kelley, and Mildred C. Bailey.

Thomas was raised in Norwood and attended Norwood High School. He worked as a small engine repair man for All Seasons Rental, and a ‘Tin Knocker’ at Quincy Shipyard. He was also a plumbers helper for American Appliances and Vito Serratore.

Thomas had a remarkable gift for making people smile and laugh. Whether it was with a perfectly timed joke or story, he could brighten any moment. His sense of humor was matched by the kindness in his heart. He was always ready to lend a hand or simply be there when someone needed him.

Though we will deeply miss his laughter and the light he brought into our lives, we find comfort in the countless memories he leaves behind. His legacy lives on in the stories we share and the love he gave so freely.

He will be remembered with love and gratitude.

A Graveside Service will be held at Highland Cemetery, 320 Winter Street, NORWOOD on Thursday (TODAY) July 30, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. Please gather at the main entrance to the cemetery near the office and chapel prior to the service.

Arrangements are in the care of Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole Street, Norwood.
