Upcoming Override

This spring, the town will be putting a permanent override on the ballot for the fire and police departments. I can only hope that town officials will not attempt to use the tactics that were used when the override for the middle school was presented.

Prior to the town-wide vote on the middle school override, officials told us that if residents didn't pass that override, the middle school committee would only come back with an even more expensive override for the school. I, personally, took that as a form of blackmail on the part of some town officials to force town residents to vote for it.
